Welcome to The Bill Advocate ("we," "us," "our," or "the Service"). By accessing our website at thebilladvocate.com or subscribing to our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Description of Service

The Bill Advocate is an independent electricity rate advisory service. For a monthly subscription fee, we monitor PPL Electric's Price to Compare and available fixed-rate supplier offers in your area. When we identify a rate that may save you money, we send you an alert via email.

Our service includes:

• Weekly monitoring of electricity rates from available suppliers in your PPL service area
• Email alerts when we identify a potentially better rate for your usage profile
• Filtering of teaser rates, short-term introductory offers, and plans with unfavorable terms
• Plain-English explanations of rate options and what they mean for your bill
• Direct email access to our founder for questions about your account

2. Eligibility

To use The Bill Advocate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a current PPL Electric Utilities customer in Pennsylvania
• Have a valid email address to receive alerts
• Provide accurate and complete information during sign-up

3. Subscription & Pricing

Free Trial

New subscribers receive a free 30-day trial. No credit card is required to start your trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial period at no cost.

Monthly Subscription

After the free trial, the service costs $4.99 per month. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email. Any price changes will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

Refunds

Because our service is billed monthly and you may cancel at any time, we generally do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@thebilladvocate.com and we will review your case promptly.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fees or penalties. To cancel:

• Email us at info@thebilladvocate.com with the subject line "Cancel Subscription"
• Or use the cancellation option in your account dashboard (when available)

Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will be deactivated and your personal information will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Your Responsibilities

As a subscriber, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your PPL account, usage, and contact details
• Keep your account information up to date
• Use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes only
• Not redistribute, resell, or share our rate alerts or analysis with third parties for commercial purposes
• Make your own independent decisions about whether to switch electricity suppliers

6. Advisory Nature of Service

The information and recommendations provided by The Bill Advocate are advisory in nature only. We do our best to provide accurate, timely, and useful rate comparisons, but:

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of rate data from third-party suppliers
• Supplier rates, terms, and availability may change without notice
• Our recommendations are based on the information you provide and publicly available rate data — actual savings depend on your specific usage and the terms of any supplier agreement you enter into
• We are not responsible for any actions taken or not taken based on our alerts
• We do not provide financial, legal, or tax advice

7. Independence & No Conflicts of Interest

We commit to the following principles:

• We do not accept commissions, referral fees, or payments of any kind from electricity suppliers
• We do not share your personal information with electricity suppliers or brokers
• Our recommendations are based solely on what we believe is the best rate for you
• If staying with PPL's default rate is your best option, we will tell you

Our only revenue source is subscriber fees. This alignment ensures that our advice is always in your interest.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on thebilladvocate.com — including text, graphics, logos, design, and rate analysis — is the property of The Bill Advocate and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The Bill Advocate provides the service on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rate data will always be accurate or current
• In no event shall The Bill Advocate be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the total subscription fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Bill Advocate, its owner, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your decision to switch or not switch electricity suppliers based on our alerts.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania. Before pursuing any legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@thebilladvocate.com.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription.
