Terms of Service

The rules that govern your use of The Bill Advocate

Effective Date: March 2026

Welcome to The Bill Advocate ("we," "us," "our," or "the Service"). By accessing our website at thebilladvocate.com or subscribing to our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

Plain English: We provide independent electricity rate monitoring and advisory alerts for PPL Electric customers in Pennsylvania. We charge $4.99/month after a free 30-day trial. We don't switch your supplier for you — we just tell you when a better rate exists.

1. Description of Service

The Bill Advocate is an independent electricity rate advisory service. For a monthly subscription fee, we monitor PPL Electric's Price to Compare and available fixed-rate supplier offers in your area. When we identify a rate that may save you money, we send you an alert via email.

Our service includes:

What we are not: We are not an electricity broker, supplier, or licensed energy consultant. We do not switch your supplier on your behalf, and we do not earn commissions or referral fees from any supplier. Any decision to switch suppliers is made entirely by you.

2. Eligibility

To use The Bill Advocate, you must:

3. Subscription & Pricing

Free Trial

New subscribers receive a free 30-day trial. No credit card is required to start your trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial period at no cost.

Monthly Subscription

After the free trial, the service costs $4.99 per month. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email. Any price changes will apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.

Refunds

Because our service is billed monthly and you may cancel at any time, we generally do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@thebilladvocate.com and we will review your case promptly.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no cancellation fees or penalties. To cancel:

Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will be deactivated and your personal information will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Your Responsibilities

As a subscriber, you agree to:

6. Advisory Nature of Service

We commit to the following principles:

Our only revenue source is subscriber fees. This alignment ensures that our advice is always in your interest.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania.
